What a neat thing to do for valentines day!. I think Charlie Brown is a wonderful character who tells a great story. Well done on answering all those comprehension questions clearly and in full sentences. I liked the thought you had put into your answers Courtney .... well done.

Thanks for you and your class with all Valentines Day related posts. Our 2009 class is roughly the same age as your students although the tradition compared to ours is completly different, in that its not something that the students really involve themselves in. However what I am noticing in my time teaching is that the cultural affect of American traditions is influencing what happens here in New Zealand. Halloween would be the one that really stands out in that its something that is gaining momemtum here, but I see aspects of it with Valentines Day to. Always look forward to reading your class posts.

@Mr. Webb, very good point. I think as American's we do not tend to look at the big picture (i.e. other cultures and countries); therefore we do not notice the impact that you are speaking of. One thing that really blew me away was the celebrations in other countries on Inauguration Day. I remember what you said about the interest that this drew in NZ. It is simply amazing that these types of traditions bleed over into other cultures. Thanks for the comment!
